im actually in a band, and we're not terrible.
i can play guitar (okay), bass (ok), drums (pretty well), and piano (very well).
so there.

it's okay to play the tambourine. it's one of the most difficult instruments to learn how to play.

My other groupmate sings lead and plays some sort of guitar thing. Our lead singer is pretty bad with his singing voice.

I was going to make a thread about this earlier. I have played both bass and drums before. It is fun, but I find that the drum kit is more enjoyable than the bass. My main band that I'm in are playing a show tomorrow night. The whole thing is set up in my garage so I am helping him put up lights. So far I've put up a strobe light that turns red and blue and a green LED light that flashes along with the beat. We have a fog machine, smoke machine, and a bunch of spotlights. We're planning on getting a stage soon. I'm hoping we will start practicing soon because we haven't done anything since we started. He's trying to get everyone together to play again, but it's tough since everyone has a different schedule. But anyways, we don't even need an amp or any cables for the microphones. We will be using a portable PA system, which I think is a good idea because it doesn't take up much space.

Our band has 2 guitars. And we just added a bass player. There's also a tambourine. Our drummer uses a tom drum as well.

Oh yeah, and my friend asked if I would be interested in making an album. My other friend who plays guitar and drums wants me to make one of our songs with him on guitar and drums. So far I'm doing great with the song, and I'll be working on that album soon. But yeah, I want a fog machine now too. :P

You might want to get some kind of recording software then. I recommend Audacity because it is free, but there's also Garageband and Pro Tools. Audacity is simple enough and free to use. It's perfect for someone who doesn't know how to mix music or edit things out. It's all drag and drop, which is good for beginners.

We have been working on this album for almost three months now and we are only like 20% finished. So far it is very good though. The only problem we had was that my friend quit because he has no interest in playing the guitar anymore. Now we need to get someone else to play the drums.
