...was a small restaurant in the Philippines. It was called "Barkada" which means something like "a group of people". This particular restaurant had the tables arranged in a square, with a round table in the middle. There were two round tables in front and behind each other, and you had to walk through one of those tables in order to get to the other.
The funny part was that there were two young kids (maybe 6 or 7) playing with the drinks on the other table, and their mother (I presume) was completely oblivious to them. And they kept moving the drinks closer and closer to the edge. Every time the kid dropped something, the mother would be completely clueless about it, because she was just chatting with some friends. I mean, she really didn't care. It got so annoying that I almost had to leave my seat.
And then, after the whole thing happened, when I was leaving the restaurant, the owner had the cheek to ask me for a tip. Like, did he not see what those kids were doing? Did he not hear the commotion going on? Because I sure as hell did.

It's even more funny if you're familiar with the culture. In the Philippines, you'd never tell the other people in your group to behave themselves, because it's rude to criticize anyone publicly. So I was left with no choice but to leave.
