i went up to the counter and got some cookies and soda
so then a kid who's probably like 8 or 9 came up to me, staring at my box of cookies
"OMG MOM CAN I GET THAT?!?!?!"
"NO WE'RE NOT BUYING ANY MORE COOKIES TODAY!!"
"WHY NOT?!?!???"
"BECAUSE WE'VE ALREADY GOT 20 BOXES OF COOKIES IN OUR CLOSET!!!"
"SO WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING ON A DIET?"
so then the mom dragged him out of the store
but on our way out, he gave me his sad puppy dog eyes
so i bought him a cookie
