I was in the middle of drawing a picture and when I was done with it, I decided to draw the other hand. When I was done, I couldn't move my left hand anymore and now I can't do anything with it. It's like I'm using a dead hand!

@luffy
I know what you mean. There are many ways to prevent this from happening.

@jason
The answer is simple
You should just die, because that will take away your pain in life.

@Dashing
That's not true. There are many answers to solve problems. One of them is just to kill yourself. If there was no way to prevent that from happening, suicide would be a viable option.

But seriously, if you were to draw a picture, wouldn't you have stopped?
I've made a mistake before where I had to draw something for my project. The entire time while I was drawing, I was feeling slight pain that felt like a cramp or muscle pull, but not strong enough to make me stop drawing. Once the drawing was over, I was completely fine.

There's no way to prevent it from happening. It's almost as if it's impossible.
There are many people with this problem, and there is no cure.

The mistake you made is what's called "A Muscle Spasm" and yes, it does cause slight pain. However, I'm talking about something much worse. It is almost impossible to explain. I'll try though.
When I was done drawing the left hand, I decided to turn the paper over and draw the right hand. When I was done, I decided to go back and add more detail to the first hand that I drew. That's when I noticed I couldn't move it anymore. It's just laying there, lifeless, with no movement whatsoever.

@danny
I can't feel anything in my left hand at all. The only way to know what's going on with it is to use a mirror to examine it.
It's the most unnerving thing ever. I still have not found a solution to this problem.

@jason
Well that sucks
If you can't feel anything, then it might be like someone is just playing games with your hand, and you're just waiting to see what happens when the person is done playing around.

Yes, it is quite odd.
@Danny
I've tried that many times, but nothing has worked so far. I'm afraid that the left hand will never function again...

The thing is, though, it still looks as if I could use it. However, there's no actual motion to prove that. I can flex and bend it, but I can't move any part of it from where it is now, and the only way I can find out what's going on is by using the mirror...

There is one solution to this, but it's very dangerous. It's to snap the wrist to get it to start functioning again. The problem is that it can also result in permanent nerve damage, which is why people do it.
