No.
You can't "take good care of frogs" if you don't know how to keep them alive, which is very difficult as they're very fragile and hard to keep in captivity for long periods of time.

You have to know what exactly to do and when to do it.
Also, the way you talk makes me think that you're lying because if this happened, you'd probably be more sad than angry at me, also, there's no reason why your pet would die suddenly because he got old or something.

You said you named it "froggy". If you fed it and gave it water, it wouldn't be called "froggy" since it can't say that it likes its name.
You're either lying or you don't know how to keep a frog alive.
Also, "abusing" is giving it too much food and not letting it outside of its cage.

It was getting some food, but we had to clean his bowl everyday. That wasn't really abusing him. We also gave him water every day.
