It's just an interesting thought.
If the moon were to be destroyed, then the tides wouldn't exist and the Earth would dry up.
Without water (which makes up a majority of our planet), we wouldn't be able to exist on this planet, hence making me unable to type this very post.

I'm not really one for religion, but I've wondered this: Why would God make us in such a way to worship him?
He made us in such a way that we need his help to survive, so why doesn't he just give us some knowledge and help us to live without him? If the answer is because we're not strong enough, then why did He make us in this way? Why didn't he just skip to creating human-like creatures that can withstand all sorts of hardships and be more or less invulnerable, instead of making us into beings that have to struggle through life?
