Ingredients:
2 potatoes (about 4 inches each)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt, to taste
Instructions:
1. Rinse the potatoes and pat them dry.
2. Slice the potatoes into strips about 3/8-inch thick. You may want to slice off one or two of the very end parts if your potatoes are too big.
3. Fill a pan with a few inches of vegetable oil and heat it to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
4. Test the oil by tossing in a single potato strip; if it sizzles right away, you're ready.
5. Place strips in the oil in small batches and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
6. Serve hot.
