And they were using the word "dumb" to describe something. My mom asked them what "dumb" meant, and they said it was a bad word.
"Okay, well you shouldn't use bad words," she told them.
"I know, but it's not really a bad word," they told her. "It just means stupid."
She asked how they knew if it wasn't really bad then why does it have the same meaning as "stupid?"
"Because we've always heard people say dumb is a bad word," they replied.
My mom looked at me. I shrugged and sighed.
I can't stand these kids.

You know what the worst part about all of this is?
My parents have no idea that those two are playing roblox.
They've been playing roblox for 3 months now and they haven't said anything.

if the two were to find out that their parents are against roblox they might quit roblox completely

if they're on roblox they're probably already addicted to it
there's no way of getting them off roblox, except maybe if you tell their parents (which could backfire)

It's not as though I'm going to tell their parents.
The reason my mom knows about them is because they were complaining about the amount of work they had and my mom told them they had to do it anyway.
When she asked why they didn't do it earlier, they just shrugged and said they wanted to wait until later. My mom asked if there was some sort of party or something happening later on, and they said no.
That's when she looked at me with a suspicious look.
She was suspicious for a while, but eventually thought better of it when she realized that we don't have any parties coming up.
I can see how the two might think that doing it later would result in less punishment than doing it now, but they couldn't possibly believe that their parents wouldn't notice that they weren't doing the chores for an extended period of time.
They're both extremely lazy so they must've thought that their parents wouldn't find out unless they specifically told them, or something like that.
I wish they knew the truth.

but it has no redeeming value whatsoever
i think that the only reason roblox exists is to entertain people

or because of the online dating that occurs on roblox
