The Voice is like American Idol but with a panel instead of one person, which I don't mind so much. However, I dislike when singers sing covers of popular songs and the judges are like 'Wow! Great choice!', as if that's what they should do anyway when picking a song (and in fact, I would argue it's the worst way to go).

I've seen a few episodes of X-Factor, but I haven't seen enough to form an opinion. I think the only people I can confidently say I would pick for either of the two shows are Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson.

I'd rather have Kelly Clarkson on Idol than Demi Lovato on X Factor, but I think it's better to have her on Idol.
X Factor is kind of boring with Simon Cowell as a judge. It's weird because it doesn't feel like he's trying very hard or anything.

And I'm gonna assume you mean X-Factor UK since there isn't a 4th season of the US version yet.

If the next season of The Voice is the same as previous seasons then I'll watch it again.
That is, if Blake and Adam are still judges, as they were in the first season.
Otherwise, no.

I've noticed that every X Factor and Idol contestant I've seen so far has been pretty unimpressive, though I guess I have to give them credit for coming that far in the competition.
I mean, Idol is good at finding talent.
But what exactly am I seeing?
And why aren't the singers singing their own songs, which they should be?
