I don't know if anyone here remembers these, but this one is from the late '90s (it even says 'Made in Taiwan' on it). It's actually kinda cool to see stuff like this still around.

@Dzuheron
Yeah they're pretty hard to find anywhere unless you go to a retro electronics shop. The ones that are more modern can take VHS tapes and also CD's. You can also get an adapter for it so you can play audio CDs on a TV or something.

I found two tapes to put into it: one from my father, which has him singing songs when he was younger, and another from my uncle which is from about 2003-2004, which features various family members doing random stuff, I'll have to look at them sometime.

I remember those. We used to use them a lot.
One of our friends had this huge collection of VHS tapes that were his parents' from way back.
His parents passed away. So now they're just collecting dust because none of us ever watched them.

@SLEND3ERMAN
Wow, that sucks. I hope you got any money from the video player itself if you didn't throw it away.

We did get about $12 or $15 for the player.
We were going to get it repaired as well because it could still be used to play tapes, but we never actually got around to that.
I'm pretty sure that we'd only get like $5 for it, which is why we never sold it.
