I had this horrible thought about a guy from my past being involved with a girl. It's like the worst thing that could possibly happen, and I've been thinking about it for days. And now I'm feeling so much better, because I remembered that she's just a friend.
So yeah. Feels nice.

He wasn't really popular at all. He was a nice guy though. We used to have fun together, we would play video games together and go on trips with our classmates. But then he started dating a girl. And she was like "Oh! You two should get together." But he said no. And that was that. I never saw him again after that.
And yeah, you would probably not know who he is. But if you want to look him up, just search "the guy from my past who I don't want to think of being involved with the girl"

Okay. So there is a guy named Matthew. He used to be friends with me. I mean, we're still friends. We went to school together when we were kids. And then one day, he started dating a girl and they got married. And now she's giving birth to their son. That's what I was thinking about.

Yeah, I guess so. It's just that he's the only person I could ever possibly think of being with. And even though I don't really like him, I would rather have him than someone who was more attractive but didn't care about me.
I mean, we're still friends, but I don't see him anymore. It's like our friendship has stopped because he got married and had a baby.

I can't help it! I've been in love with him since middle school! I don't know how to stop thinking about him. I wish there were something that could make me not think about him. But I just can't. He is the only person that I feel like I can be myself around.
And yeah, he's not really the best guy. But I would rather have him over someone else.

Yeah, that might be true. I mean, he's not even attractive. But when I look at him, it's like I'm seeing my first crush, and the feeling is just so familiar. It's kind of comforting.

I don't know what that means. But I guess it's true. I do still have feelings for him, even though I never want to see him again.
And yeah, I don't really want to try other guys out. I'm not going to lie to myself. I'm not ready to move on yet. It's too painful to think about. I don't know how else to put it.
