1. You can say "it's raining tigers and bears" and not be taken literally.
2. It gives the rain gods a chance to wash their hair
3. Rainbows give us hope for a better tomorrow.
4. You can finally buy the umbrella you've always wanted, but didn't have any place to store it.
5. Rainbows look really cool when they are reflected through a pair of sunglasses
6. Rainbows make people feel warm and fuzzy inside.
7. It is easier to throw a party when there isn't a lot of sunlight to block your view of the guests.
8. It makes the clouds look like they have a tan.
9. Raindrops taste better than sleet drops.
10. Rain makes the ground wet. That means water is available. That means we can grow grass. That means we can build houses made of bricks and wood. That means we can build cities. Without cities, people would starve.

I know 2 more reasons.
11. It causes people to not drive as fast because of the slippery conditions on the road.
12. When it rains cats and dogs, it's raining dogs.
