But there's still a chance that she could've made it up. I mean, people who are into hunting like to talk big, and they're not shy about lying. So it's just possible that it's not true.

and she was trying to scare me. if she had wanted to make herself look good, she would've said how she shot an entire herd of wild geese

I'm not sure it would work. If it's hunting season, then I doubt any jury would believe that you didn't deserve to get shot.
