I wanted to get a PS4 and they said no. When I was younger I would always want things but my parents wouldn't let me buy them
So then I decide to ask them again about a PS4 for Christmas but they say "NO"
So I'm like "Ok fine" so I get my Xbox One S for Christmas and I play it with my friends and it's all fun and cool.
Then one day, I come home from school and they are just staring at me. Then my dad says "You're addicted to video games." Then my mom goes "It's not healthy to be playing video games for hours straight."
I know I'm addicted, but I don't think they realize what kind of addiction this is because in the end it's the best addiction ever.
I mean it doesn't really cause any problems besides the fact that I don't talk to my family much anymore. So I try to fix this by asking them if I could invite my friend over for a sleepover. They say yes and we do that but the whole time I'm on Xbox Live and they're having their own thing. They're playing games and stuff, and I'm on Xbox Live. They say it's fine but they're not paying attention to me.
The next morning they wake us up and then we go back to our houses. But when I'm leaving my friend gives me his PS4 so we can play together later. Then my parents hear this and they're like "You're taking your friend's PS4?" I say no. They're like "You're going to steal it?!" I tell them that no I didn't steal anything.
They're like "We're going to call the cops!"
Then I said, "Okay, you can do that."
So they call the cops and the cops come to our house. They tell me to give my friend his PS4 back, so I did. The cops are there and they're talking to me while my parents are watching. Then my dad says something about how I have an Xbox One S too and he asks how much it costs.
I said it cost $299. My parents don't believe me so they ask him where he bought it from and he told them about Best Buy and the address. So my dad goes to Best Buy and he buys a brand new one for himself because he thought he was getting a used one. My dad is so mad at me right now.
I was just trying to get my PS4 and my mom would never buy it for me.

The police are also here right now asking me questions about why I wanted this PS4 so bad. I said it's because I want to play Destiny with my friends. But they say Destiny isn't worth buying and that I should try Destiny 2 instead.

I didn't get Destiny 2 on my Xbox One S. But I got the demo when I played Destiny for the first time.
So anyways, the police are here now talking to me and I'm talking to them. Then they tell my dad "This is his fault" and he says "It's not! It's your fault!" And then they both start yelling at each other while the police officer tries to calm them down.

Now we're all just sitting in the living room waiting for the cops to leave. We've been here for 30 minutes. My parents are still mad at each other and they're still yelling. Then there's a knock on our door and the cops are back. They tell us that we have to go to court tomorrow and I have to explain why I wanted a PS4 so bad. The police say they'll be there too because they think I stole it.
