Because people see their future as horrible, and they like to look back on the past where there was no problems. They are scared to face the future, but know that everything has a cycle. So, they will eventually come back to what they had before, but now better.

Well I'm not looking forward to the future either. I think most teenagers aren't, it's just that some of us are more obsessed with the past than others.

You're right. But it still confuses me as to why people would be so interested in the past.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but I just don't understand why they would be interested in the past more than anything else.

It could be because we have no future. Everything has a cycle, and if you look back long enough you will see that your future is what was once your present.

Well then I suppose that would be the reason. You think the future is horrible, and you know that the past was good, and the future will come back to that. But you know that your future will never come back to being good, so you will just go back to the past where everything was great.
