Because of the 50,000 idiots who spam "OMG LOOK AT MY PLACE FOR BC PLZ PLZ PLZ" and "OMG JOIN MY GROUPE" and 50,000 morons who act like they're better than you for no reason.
Now, if we could just get rid of the 20,000 people who call themselves "OTer", I'd be happy.
