I think it's a good idea to add a "do not allow replies" box when making a thread.

Only because some people are just idiots and they'd rather post their "NO" than leave a thread alone. It doesn't make sense to waste time arguing about a pointless thread. The best thing you could do is report them for spamming.

Yeah, but that's only for threads like this one. I think it should be an option on all threads, even ones you're not the creator of.
