I love the idea behind it. But I think some of the colors don't match well.

What made you decide to use those colors together? It looks great. And I wasn't saying that it was horrible. Just saying I thought it could be better.

The colors are meant to represent the different regions of the galaxy. The blue is for Earth, the red for Mars, the purple for Jupiter and the green for Saturn.

Well, the purple part is meant to look like the rings of Saturn, which is why the design is somewhat transparent in that area. If you look closely you'll see some of the green, which represents the surface of the planet itself.
