1. 2012 was the year of the apocolypse.
2. The guy who made that movie died a few days before it came out.
3. The guy who made that movie said its not real.
4. It was just to make money.

You're right. There's no chance of the Earth coming close enough to any other body big enough for us to even notice. At least not for the next thousands or millions of years.
