If she's going somewhere where the phone reception isn't good, then say:
"Dad, can we play Metroid Prime on GameCube? I saw a commercial with it! It looks really fun!"

He said no and I told him that I would get angry if I didn't get it and he got angry at me and he yelled at me then locked himself in the room so...my parents don't like it when I play video games

Resident Evil and Metroid Prime are totally different games.
Resident Evil is about killing monsters.
Metroid Prime is about exploring planets.

You could try playing Metroid Prime alone, but that's not really much fun.
If you REALLY want to play, then get an old PC game. (Something from the early '90s.)
PC games aren't that great anymore, but they're better than GameBoy, GBA, DS, DS Lite, GameCube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, and XBOX 360.
