The first day of school was rough. Everyone looked at me when I walked in. I wondered if it was because I wasn't wearing my new shoes, or because I didn't have on a shirt. I sat down in my seat and began to look around the room. It seemed like a nice class, but everyone was staring at me. I tried to ignore it and focus on what the teacher was saying, but I couldn't help but feel self-conscious.
I finally decided that enough was enough. I stood up and said "Hey guys, just because I'm different doesn't mean you can treat me like this!" Everyone laughed at me and pointed. The teacher came over and asked what was going on. I told her what happened, and she immediately called my parents.
They came to pick me up and we went home. My mom gave me a hug and said "It's okay honey, don't worry about it." But I still felt bad. I knew that they would never understand how it feels to be bullied. They weren't even there to see it happen.
That night, I cried myself to sleep. I didn't want to go back to school the next day. But I had no choice. I had to face the music.
The next morning I got dressed and walked to the bus stop. I was hoping that maybe today wouldn't be so bad, but as soon as I stepped onto the bus everyone started laughing at me again. I sat in the back by myself and tried to hide from view.
When I got to school I was greeted by a huge crowd of students. They were all chanting "NEWBIE! NEWBIE!" I quickly ran into class and took my seat. As soon as I sat down I could feel people staring at me.
The teacher began class and I tried to pay attention, but it was hard with everyone watching me. Suddenly, I heard a loud bang! I turned around to see what happened and saw that one of my classmates had thrown a book at me. It hit me in the head and I fell out of my chair. Everyone laughed at me.
I got up and walked over to the girl who threw the book. She looked scared, like she knew that I was going to get her back. I grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to the front of the classroom. The teacher asked what was happening and I told him what had just occurred. He said that she would be suspended for a week.
As soon as she left the room everyone started cheering at me. I finally felt like I belonged here. But I knew that this wasn't over. There were still people who didn't like me and they would never stop bullying me.
That night I had another sleepless night because of all the thoughts running through my mind. I kept thinking about how I was going to make friends and how I was going to deal with the bullies. Finally, I fell asleep and dreamed about being the most popular kid in school. I woke up feeling happy and excited for the day ahead of me.
When I arrived at school there was no line of students waiting to bully me. Everyone seemed to ignore me and I started to feel lonely. I went to lunch alone and ate by myself while everyone else ate together.
After lunch I went back to class and saw that one of the girls who used to bully me was sitting next to me. She smiled at me and said hi. I was surprised and didn't know what to say, so I just said hi back. She then asked if we could be friends and I said sure. We chatted for a while and became really good friends. We even decided to sit together in all our classes.
From then on out, I had lots of friends and no one ever bullied me again. I learned that it doesn't matter if you're different; people will always like you if you show kindness and treat them nicely.

CHAPTER 2:
I was walking down the hallway when I saw my best friend standing by herself. She looked upset so I walked over and asked her what was wrong. She told me that she had been feeling sick lately and didn't know why.
I suggested that maybe we should go see a doctor together. She agreed and we left for the school nurse's office. After waiting for a while we finally got called in. The nurse took one look at us and said "Oh boy! You two must be new here!"
We told her about our situation and she prescribed some medicine for us. We took it home and began taking it right away. Within a few days, our symptoms started to improve. By the end of the week, we were back to normal.
Since then, we have become even closer friends and always stick together. We've learned that sometimes you really do need someone to help you through tough times.
