we were talking about what the guy said when he killed harambe, and some guy said that he should have killed himself instead of harambe, and i said "harambe was the last gorilla on earth, now there's nothing left".
that's why i got banned

The only reason we know that Harambe is the last gorilla is because of him. Now that he has died, there is no way for us to know if there are other gorillas out there or not.

if harambe died, then its possible that there is no other gorillas left in the wild. and if so, then we might be the last living thing on earth, because we are the only species on earth who can reproduce and survive.
if harambe was the last one, then we might be the last living things on the entire earth.
we just found out that a gorilla has died, but how do we know he's the only one?

so you're saying that since harambe is the last gorilla in the world, then we can assume that he is the only one?

No, I'm saying that if Harambe were the only gorilla left in the world, it would still be possible for there to be other gorillas on Earth that we just haven't discovered yet. If Harambe was the only gorilla left, the only way to find other gorillas would be through genetics and/or DNA testing.

yeah but if he was the only one, then it's possible there was a mother gorilla and her baby somewhere in africa that died before it could get rescued or something. we wouldn't know because they would probably never find the bodies, if they even did die.
it is possible to have other gorillas without anyone knowing about them.
