i live in a rural area, and there are no police here. if i were to call 911 it would get sent to the county's 911 system. this is a bit different though. it came up on my caller ID as "911." i let it ring because i thought maybe it was a test. so then it kept ringing. i picked up the phone and nobody answered for like five or six minutes.
so i hung up. it rang again. i ignored it. it rang again. i picked up the phone and said "hello?" and nobody answered for like 10 or 15 seconds. so i hung up. it rang again. i ignored it. then i went back into the room where i had been when i had answered the first time. it rang again. i picked it up and there was just a dial tone. i hung up. then it rang again. i ignored it. i went downstairs and watched tv for like half an hour. it didn't ring again after that.
so yeah. anybody else get a call like that?

It might have been a number for a local fire department, hospital, etc.

@lit
i'm not scared, it just sounded really weird.
and @67thave
this is a rural area. i doubt there are any hospitals nearby, and all of the fire departments and police departments would be at least ten miles away. so yeah.
