I have many tips, but I don't know if they apply to you.
1. Don't be afraid of saying "I love you"
2. When you do say "I love you" don't expect them to say it back immediately.
3. Don't use love as a weapon to control the person
4. Respect the persons opinion
5. Be true to yourself
