I'm already getting one in December, and this one is just as good, so why do I need to get another one?

It's probably getting old.

@Supah
It's only about a year old. That isn't that old.

A year is pretty much the life expectancy of a phone these days.

@Supah
The life expectancy of a phone has gotten shorter? Okay, but mine is still in good shape.

@67thave
I had an iPhone 4s that got slow after a year or two.
But my current phone (Motorola Droid) was given to me a few months ago by a friend who said it broke on him.

You don't need to get a new phone every year. They have phones that can last for years, and I'm just about to use one that lasts for years.

I don't know anyone who's been able to keep their phone for years.
Everyone seems to upgrade to a newer version once their phone gets slow.

Everyone keeps their phones for as long as they need them, but if you do want a new phone, then go ahead.

I will keep my current phone until the battery dies.
Then I'll get a new phone.

The thing is, it isn't even close to dying, so I'm going to keep mine for a while.

Same here.
My battery is still pretty good right now.
But I also have an external charger in case I forget to bring my phone around when I'm out.
I also keep it plugged in whenever I can to keep my battery healthy.

@Supah
I never forgot to bring it around when I'm out because it's always on me. I don't know why people just put it in their bags or backpacks and then forget about them.

Yeah, that doesn't really make sense.
People should always keep their phones within reach.

That's why I never put it down or put it away. When I go somewhere, I need it with me at all times.

Yeah, I do that too.
I even keep it on the table next to me so I can easily see it.

Oh yeah.
That way I'll hear the phone before the alarm goes off.
