I just thought of this out of nowhere and I wonder if this is even possible:
Let's say, hypothetically, that you were to cut the human spinal cord in half (or wherever the main part of it is located) while leaving the brain intact.
Would it be possible for a human being to move around without the spinal cord?
Or would the movement of the arms and legs be completely gone after losing the spinal cord?

I'm not saying that someone should do this on purpose, of course.
Just wondering what could happen if the spinal cord was somehow damaged or removed.

The spinal cord isn't necessary to life.
If you take off your brain you won't be able to move until you get another one.
If you cut off your spinal cord you'll lose sensation and control over parts of your body.
So, no, people can't move without a spinal cord.
You know what I love? I love that feeling when you're running down the street screaming "I'M COMING TO GET YOU! I'M COMING TO GET YOU!"

Thank you for answering my question!
