Today was my first day of school, and I've been dreading it for the past 3 months. I can't tell you what happened, but I can say that it was definitely the worst day of my life. It felt like a movie.
I got up at 6:00 am. I had to wake up early because we have a new principal this year. He is very strict, so we had to be there at 7:30 am. I usually don't wake up until 8:00 am.
After I woke up, I ate some cereal and got dressed. I was wearing a new outfit because I wanted to make a good impression on the first day of school. My parents dropped me off at the door, and I walked inside by myself. I didn't see any of my friends because they were already in their classes. I went to the main office to get my schedule. As I was waiting in line, I noticed that everyone was talking about the new principal. Apparently he has been in the news a lot recently. Some people said he was nice, and others said he was mean. I didn't know what to think.
When I finally got to the front of the line, the secretary gave me my schedule. I had English with Mrs. Smith and History with Mr. Johnson. The classes weren't too far from each other, so I decided to just go straight to English. I found Mrs. Smith's room easily because everyone was walking that way. When I got there, I saw that all the seats were taken. I stood in the back of the room and waited for someone to move. After a few minutes, someone finally did and I took their seat. Then the bell rang and we started class.
Mrs. Smith gave us our assignments for the day and then dismissed us. Everyone ran out of the classroom as fast as possible. I slowly got up from my chair and walked out of the classroom. As I was walking down the hallway, I heard loud noises coming from a classroom. I looked inside and saw a bunch of kids fighting each other. They were throwing chairs and punching each other. It looked like a scene from a movie. One of the kids was yelling at the teacher, saying that she was unfair and that she always gives him a bad grade. The teacher tried to calm him down, but he wouldn't stop. Finally, the principal came into the classroom and broke up the fight. He made the kid sit in the corner while the other kids continued with their class work.
After school, I went to my locker to get my backpack. As I was getting my things, I heard someone whispering behind me. I turned around and saw it was my neighbor, who had been in the same class as me last year. She asked me what happened during class. I told her about the fight and how the principal had to come in and break it up. My neighbor said she didn't believe me and that I must have been making up stories. I didn't know what to say, so I just walked away.
When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened at school. I didn't want to go back there tomorrow and deal with all the drama again. But I knew I had no choice. I had to face my fears and go back to school. I hoped that today was just a bad day and that tomorrow would be better. But I doubted it.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day...

Yeah, but this school isn't that bad. It's not like I'm going to a ghetto school or anything. And also, most kids at my school are white. So it's not like I'm going to a school where everyone is black and they all fight each other.

No, it's just that I'm surrounded by ignorant people who are too stupid to know when someone is being serious. They think everything is a joke.
