I was sitting in my car, when these two kids walk by. One of them sees my car and walks over to me.
"I want a lift," he says.
"Sure. Where are you going?" I ask
"New York City!" he replies.
"Well that's not very far." I tell him.
"NOOOOO! It's 30 miles away!"
I looked at his brother, who is standing behind him.
"Hey! Why don't you go 15 miles with your brother?"
"Oh yeah!" he says as his brother grabs him and drags him down the road.

Oh, and there's more to this joke.
The kid who walked off into the distance, he suddenly runs back and says "Give me a lift"
"I told you New York City isn't very far away."
"No! It's 50 miles away!"
And then he walks off again.

Then the other brother sees a train coming, so he runs over to his brother and says: "Hey! Let's get on that train!"
And then they both die.
