For my first time.
What do you think of the anime world?
I've been thinking about watching it for a while, and now is as good of a time as any.

the problem is that it's hard to tell which ones are good or not
some people like shows that have more of a romance plot instead of action
some people like shows that don't have that many episodes
some people like shows that aren't so violent
and etc.

I've watched a few, but most of them seem like they're targeted for children. Which is weird because some of the stuff shown isn't suitable for children in my opinion.
But anyways, there are other types of anime. There's action, drama, romance, horror, and mystery.
What about those? What would you recommend?

Pokémon is an anime.
It's animated, as in "drawn." The same with cartoons.
There are just different types of animations.
Cartoons are usually more comical and less serious, while anime can be serious or not serious.
Just watch an episode and see if you like it. That will give you a feel for the show.

it's a cartoon
there is a difference
cartoons are made by the people who make Disney stuff
anime is Japanese
