So, I'm planning on making a video game in the future when my computer is a little better (i5-4570k 3.2 GHz with 8 GB of RAM). So here's what i'd like to do:
It's called "Dungeon Defense" and it's basically like a tower defense game but with dungeons instead of mazes. Basically, you'll pick from 6 classes and start at level 1. Then you spawn a party of 4 (you can pick any 3 people you want) into a dungeon. Once that happens, the mobs are spawned and you have to kill them all. Every mob has a certain amount of health and if you manage to kill them, they drop items which you can pick up. These items give you stat boosts such as damage boost or increased speed. Once you finish a floor, you'll move onto another one.
In the game, players will be able to choose from a variety of classes. Each class comes with different abilities and skills so each player can pick what he wants.
Here's what the different classes are:
Mage: A mage can cast magic at an enemy and deal a lot of damage. However, this makes her vulnerable to physical attacks since she doesn't use armor.
Warrior: A warrior is great for dealing physical damage. You can easily kill enemies with a well-timed attack. However, you don't deal much damage against magical enemies.
That's just an example. I may add other classes later.

Here's an example of a dungeon:
There are 2 levels in this dungeon
Level 1:
Enemies: Slime, Goblin, Skeleton
Bosses: Ogre
Items: Healing potion, Warrior's sword, Mage's staff
Special feature: When you spawn on level 1, you are teleported to the back of the room. To get out, you'll need to go through 3 doors. These doors open automatically once all enemies are dead.
Level 2:
Enemies: Goblin Warrior (very tough), Undead skeleton (zombie)
Bosses: Goblin Warlord (Giant goblin), Dragon
Special feature: The dragon is invulnerable to physical attacks. In order to kill him, you must use magic. Once killed, the boss will drop the Dragon slaying sword which increases all stats of all players by 10%. This sword can only be found here.

This would be like a Diablo game where you have to kill enemies but you also have to be careful because enemies respawn every few seconds.

It sounds interesting. But it could fail. People who play games like "Diablo" do not want to be in a defense type of thing. Also people would get tired of it fast. But if you make a demo or something then you might get some attention.

I meant to give you an idea for the next game you make. I have never seen a good tower defense game and your idea might just come out as one!

@zeeb
ok i guess
thanks for telling me this
btw, if you're talking about the game in general, it's more like a dungeon crawler than a tower defense game
