Well he has an alright style but his novels aren't very good
He was actually kinda racist against blacks and jews which is why most people don't really like him

His novel "The Great Gatsby", however, is one of the greatest books written by any American.
It's such an amazing story, and I honestly have no idea how it got so popular for only being published once.

@Sankoro Flaubert isn't even remotely close to F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Flaubert was average at best, whereas Fitzgerald was genius.

Flaubert wasn't a decent writer, as well. He wrote one interesting book ("Madame Bouvary") but he wasn't good in the slightest otherwise.
Chomsky is overrated just because of his linguistics theory. His philosophy sucks. As does his writing.

He actually never did anything except write some books and babble about linguistics and politics.
Also, I'm not a philosopher so I didn't mention him by name, but he still had bad philosophy. That doesn't make it any less obvious, however.

I can easily determine the validity of his ideology (which isn't true).
