The only reason I know why people dislike it is because it's the day that Jesus was crucified. But if you think about it, we don't know how many years he spent on the cross. It could be that the 14th was the actual day, and the 13th was the last day before they took him down.

It really irks me when I get told "it's bad luck to post this on the 13th". What is the point in telling someone it's bad luck to do something? Do you just randomly pick things out of thin air to make people not want to do them?
