And I have to say that I'm really glad I don't live in the US. It seems to me as though there are a bunch of spoiled children who want everything for free and without any work. I mean, what if you just sat on your ass all day like they do? You would be living off of unemployment benefits and food stamps.

I guess that is true, but I don't see why you would say something like "you're right" if you don't agree with the person. I thought that you did agree with me, so you said "you're right". If you didn't agree with me then you would have said something like "You're wrong" or "You are mistaken".
