I watched an anime when I was about 6, and I thought it sucked.
Now I watch them all the time and they are amazing to me.

And you know what?
It doesn't matter if other people think it's stupid or cool, if I like something I'll do it.
Same with video games, movies, etc.
You can't really force someone into liking something that they have a negative opinion on.
