I did not steal it.
I just brought it to a new forum and I just said the words in my own words.

What is the difference between stealing it and just saying it?

I said I was just bringing it to another forum. You were trying to act cool by saying "I stole the word from the Urban dictionary" but you did not, you just said something else that means the same thing.

No you didn't.
The word cacophonious exists in the urban dictionary, you found it there. You copied it.

The words exist in the dictionary and also exist outside of the dictionary. I saw someone say a similar definition, I thought it was funny and I am just bringing it to another forum.

You are not supposed to copy definitions and then bring them to forums, you are supposed to come up with your own definitions.

Well, I did not know what cacophonious meant before I saw it on a forum.
I did not know how to define it.
I had no reason to do anything other than say it in my own words and bring it to another forum where people may find it interesting.

It's like you copied something from the internet and then claimed that you invented it.

So, basically, you're saying that if I don't know something, I cannot say it or bring it somewhere else? Sounds like a stupid idea.

No, it's not stupid.
If someone came up with a definition for a word that didn't exist and then later found out that they already existed, it is not smart. It is just a lie.

I do not lie.
I am simply bringing this to another forum so people can know a new word.

It's called saying it in my own words.
I did not know how to define it until I saw it on a forum. Therefore I thought it was interesting and I thought I could bring it to another forum where more people might be interested in it.

What you're trying to say is that if you do not come up with an idea yourself, then you should not share it with other people.

I think it would be fine if you didn't know what the definition of the word was and then defined it for yourself, but if you knew what the definition was and decided to redefine it anyways, then yeah.

Oh, also, I am not redefining anything. I am simply saying what something means in my own words.
It's called free speech. Look it up.

You're not allowed to redefine things.
If you want to talk about something, just go ahead and talk about it without making up definitions.
