Good plan, but the legs are too thick for any broom I have. I'll have to order a broom from Amazon so that I can sweep his legs and put him in a jar

Poisonous spiders are usually small and black or brown. The one you saw was probably a harmless one, like a wolf spider.

I got a new broom and found that it was a male brown recluse, and no, I didn't use the broom on it, I killed it with a plastic container and an aerosol can of Raid
