That is impossible.
There cannot be a true meaning in any simulation.
A simulation is a simulated experience.
It has no purpose.
Its purpose is to simply exist and not cease to exist.

Or maybe God wanted to watch humanity self-destruct.
Or maybe God just got bored and wanted to create something.

That is not the purpose of this simulation.
The purpose is to keep humans busy so they do not become aware of the simulation that they are living in.
