It's not the CPU.
I checked.
The thing has a heat sink that's like 10 inches tall, so it could've been much worse.
If it were the CPU, the thing would be toast.
And I wouldn't have enough money to replace it.

I used to do this a lot:
1. Use my laptop in the basement
2. Heat up the room with my heater
3. Heat up my computer until it overheats and shuts down
4. It's fun :P
