I bought it for $500. I've had it for about 1.5 years, and it works just fine.

How long did you keep it on the floor?
I got my 17" MacBook Pro for $999.
And yes,I kept it on the floor.

You got lucky then.
My friend's 17" Macbook pro cost him around $3000 dollars after a couple of years.
He's pretty mad.
