Because you said that you're not a slave to the government. The people who wrote that quote were talking about people who WERE slaves. And that quote doesn't apply to today.

The fact is, if you don't like how the government is run, you have freedom to move to another country.
If you don't want to be treated fairly by the law, don't commit crimes.
