It isn't funny because they're just repeating what a YouTuber said in his video. The guy who says the Earth is flat is trying to get attention, and if you pay any attention to his videos then you'll realize he does it all the time. He literally has videos with titles like "THE SUN IS A HOAX!". That's just silly. And the fact that some people actually believe it is even more silly.

They're saying that if you question them about why they believe the Earth is flat then they'll say that it's just a joke or something like that. And by saying it's a joke they're making fun of people who actually believe the Earth is flat.
