So here's what happened on the first day of 1st grade:
1. Got yelled at by my teacher, because I couldn't remember to stand up when everyone else did. She told me not to come back again if I wasn't going to listen.
2. I was talking to one of my classmates, and he asked "What do you think of me?". So I answered him, and he told me that I should be quiet.
3. One of my classmates is making fun of me for having glasses. He's even calling me an alien. And I'm afraid to say anything back, because if I do, he'll tell my parents.
4. There are no recesses. None. Absolutely none.
If this isn't a horrible first day for school, then what is?

I mean, this isn't normal behavior for 5-year-olds. Are they just being kids, or are they really bullies?

I used to have a teacher like that. The teacher would tell us to stand up when she tells us, and we never listened. So she yelled at us, and the next thing we know she's gone.

The next day, my mom talked to my teacher about the glasses incident. She was going to talk to the class, but I begged her not to. I was worried that if she did, it wouldn't help, but make the problem worse.
