anyways, i came up with this idea a while ago:
people can choose a set of characters they like, then you can make a game out of it, and other people can join your game
example:
i like the pokemon character pikachu
i have a game about it, where you are playing as pikachu
other people can join my game and play with me as their own version of pikachu, so we all look different but our attacks are the same
this game would be called "pokemon adventures"
i also wanted to do a similar thing for the sonic series (where you can play as any character), and also for the mario series (same idea)
also, if this game got popular enough, i'd want to add more features, such as adding enemies, or creating new characters to add to the game (like i said earlier, in pokemon adventures you could create your own version of pikachu and it wouldn't take away from the original character's popularity)
the main reason i brought this up is because i've been talking to some friends who know how to script and they said they will help me get this started

okay thats actually really good
but i'm not sure how much work goes into something like that
i don't think anyone would be able to create a decent game with only 3 days of scripting practice

it's not just about coding, but also about creating a community and stuff.
so that's why i need the help from my friends, and we might even get some investors once we are ready

and yes i am aware that there are many games already out there where you can play as your own character in different environments, but i want to bring new ideas to the table and make it more unique than others (and yes, i know there is going to be copycats, but that's what happens in the industry these days)

okay that does sound pretty cool
i can see this being very profitable
but do keep in mind that people will still say this idea is "stupid" or something like that even though they really don't have much reason to say so

yes, i am well aware of the fact that most people wont support me
but that's okay, because i got some friends who will help me through it all

but yeah, if they aren't willing to put any real effort into helping you build a game then it might be better to just let them play games while you actually create one
