Well, I think that the 13th Doctor will be a female.
I know most people will disagree but it's about time! The last female Doctor was in 1988 so I think it's about time to bring it back.
What do you think?

Not really sure if this is actually an issue or not, since there are still plenty of women in the role behind the scenes and a ton of actresses who could do the job well. I can see why fans want to see a new Doctor though, and would love to get a good female Doctor in there somewhere. I just hope that whoever they decide on is an excellent choice.

I agree with you on the fact that we have tons of actresses but as you said, let's just hope she is a great choice!

The Doctor has always been male so it wouldn't make sense for a female one now would it?

Doctor Who has been running since 1963. The female doctor was the first doctor and now if they want to go back to a female doctor then they might as well go back to the very first series. They've already gone through 12 doctors and none of them were female so why do people think this would be any different? It would be different but in a bad way. Just imagine having a female doctor when you are watching a show called Doctor Who.

Yes, I know they have had 12 Doctors so far but all of them were male except for the first. So yes, you're right! But I'm saying that we need a female Doctor and not just having her as the 13th Doctor. I think we should start from the beginning and have a female Doctor (starting with 1) and then once she is done, we can move onto another male Doctor.

Doctor Who has always been a male doctor. People forget about the old days when it started because they didn't want a male doctor so they wanted a female one so that's why we had the first doctor and the second doctor but then after that it was back to a male doctor.

I don't really care if we went back in time or not, but I think it is time to have a female Doctor. It would be great!

There are already many female doctors on TV shows. What makes this show any different? Also, some people might find this offensive so don't say "I don't care" because you do care. This wouldn't be good for the show and the fans.

Why do we need a female doctor? The reason why people want a female doctor is because they want a different doctor than the old ones. I'm sorry but Doctor Who has always been about the male doctor. Why can't we just wait until the last episode of the show then maybe the doctor will leave and then we'll have a new male doctor?

We need a female Doctor because it's about time! We need a female Doctor to help inspire young girls around the world (and even young boys). Also, this would be great because it could help boost ratings and have more viewers. This show was made for both genders, not just males, so I think it is time!

I understand what you are saying but if they make a female doctor then what will happen to the male doctors? They will all die out. We'll never see them again and that wouldn't be good.

Doctor Who is mainly about a male doctor so why change it now? It won't make any sense. Also, if they make a female doctor then people might think that the show is going downhill. The show has always been about a male doctor so why change it?

If they do make a female Doctor, it won't be a huge deal. It's just an actor/actress playing a part.

Well, if you are still saying that there should be a female doctor then I'm going to say this: You have no idea what you're talking about. Doctor Who is about a male doctor and will always be about a male doctor. If you want a different show then go watch one on TV where the main character is a female.

You think that a female doctor will help inspire young girls? What kind of example would a female doctor be for them? Also, how can a female doctor help boost ratings? Male doctors have helped boost ratings in the past so why not keep the same thing?
