i was on the bus on my way home from school and i noticed a kid who looked like he was around 13 or 14 who was wearing a band shirt and some headphones, listening to music while we rode. i couldn't see what band it was, but it had a black background with white text.
a few minutes later, he took out his iPod and played something that sounded like heavy metal or hard rock (i didn't hear the lyrics, so i'm not sure). then he took out some gum and put it into his mouth. the gum wrapper fell onto the floor of the bus, and it was lying there for a couple minutes before someone finally picked it up and put in in the trash.
then after another minute or two, he took off his headphones and put them back into his backpack. i think he turned down the volume on his iPod because the music got softer. he took out his iPod again a little bit later and turned it off. he left the headphones on for a few more minutes until the bus pulled over at one of the stops.
he stayed seated while everyone else got off, and when i got off, i turned around to look at him, but by that time he was gone, so i guess he was going somewhere further down the line. it all seemed kind of weird to me, so i wanted to share it here. if you have any thoughts on this, feel free to post them in this thread.
