I do, no offense to Canada, but our pennies are basically useless. They can't even buy a candy bar anymore, which is the exact reason why I don't carry any in my pocket.

Well, just because you're talking about the US's pennies doesn't mean you're being rude to Americans, but it could be considered rude to Canadians. If I were to talk about the loonie or the dollar, then I would be implying that Canada is bad or that we aren't worth that much.
Also, I wasn't talking about the loonie or the dollar, but the penny.

Yeah, but there's still the fact that you're talking about one of your neighboring countries. Just because no one cares or says anything doesn't mean they're okay with it, and that means it could be an issue in the future. It may not seem like a big deal right now (I hope) but who knows what will happen later?

Well, unless you want to make Canada mad at us for a long period of time, you may want to re-think your idea about the Canadian currency. I think it's best to keep them, but use them for other things than actual money...
