Bored is such a strange word because there are so many definitions for it.

Bored can be defined as:
1. Having no interest in or enjoyment of an activity
2. Feeling tired and listless
3. Unoccupied or inactive
4. Boredom is often a reaction to being confined to a situation, bore means to stifle, as in stifling of laughter or stifling of conversation.
5. A feeling of weariness and restlessness caused by lack of interest in one's surroundings
6. Lacking variety or interest
7. Something boring
8. The state or condition of being bored

Bored can also be described as:
1. Apathy
2. Disinterest
3. Restlessness
4. Lack of motivation
5. A lack of variety
6. Tedium or monotony
7. A general dissatisfaction with one's surroundings
8. Wistfulness of wanting more than what is available (e.g. children waiting for summer vacation or Christmas)
9. Feeling unstimulated and unchallenged
10. A person who causes boredom
