Well, I don't know. How did it know to let you type? How did it know how to move your legs when you walked? Maybe it doesn't think, maybe it just does stuff for you.

I wouldn't call it a robot exactly, because robots are machines.

so we're a biological machine that thinks and can control our body with our brain and we think about our body doing things and the brain is controlling those things so it's kind of like our brain tells the body to do things but then we're thinking about the body doing those things so what is a brain

If I knew why the brain does anything, I'd be able to build a better one. I could make my own brain, and I would have all the thoughts I wanted.

We can't edit it or replace it though. We don't know how it works yet, so we don't know how to fix it or replace it. We could create an artificial one, which probably wouldn't work as well because it wouldn't have the same intelligence as a human brain.
