Unless it is really funny. But in most cases, if you are going to form a band, you should at least have a good name.
I am talking about people who play instruments and stuff. Not just singers.

Well, it depends on how you market it.
If you say "Hey, I'm in this awesome band called 'The Blue Guys'!" and it's not popular yet, no one's going to join because you're saying you're in an unknown band.
