So me being me, I went into her personal office, stole her book, and pretended to be reading it.
I got out of class early because everybody else was taking forever so they could say they were reading it too. It was so satisfying.
I have a good feeling this lady won't let me get away with that again.

If I wanted to steal her book, it wouldn't make sense to go talk to her about it.

I'm not going to deny that I did it, but that's really not the issue here. It wasn't just some lame "screw the teacher" joke either. I'm not even one of those people who acts like they're better than their teachers.
